Four worlds. Four identities. One community. Sigma Draconis Expanse 2 has launched — flip and burn across a fully rebuilt Sol. Remnants, Enduur and Vanilla+ round out the fleet. Find the server that fits how you play.
Sigma Draconis Expanse 2 — Now LiveA complete overhaul of Space Engineers set in The Expanse. No jump drives, no speed cap in open space: lock a destination, burn hard, flip, and brake to a dead stop beside your target at up to 50,000 m/s. Specialise your ship with Ship Cores, hide or hunt with Spectrum signals, and run NPC missions for Beratnas Gas, Tycho and the rest across a rebuilt Sol — from Mercury to Pluto. Spawn in a Rockhopper in the Belt and earn every kilometre.
"Distances may seem extreme. Keep in mind that you can accelerate to 50,000 m/s. Never point directly at your destination — except for the last few hundred metres of your approach."
No jump drives. No shortcuts. Pick a target, light the Epstein and burn until the halfway mark — then flip, brake, and arrive dead-stop on your mark. 50,000 m/s is the ceiling. Your nerve is the limit.
Every burn is a flare. Every reactor is a beacon. Every antenna is a confession. Go dark and slip past the hunters — or light up the sky and dare them to come. Out here, being seen is a choice.
From the furnace of Mercury to the ice of Pluto, every planet, moon and belt is on the map — and three homeworlds don't want you there. There's no Ring Gate to run to. Sol is the whole war.
Forget PCU. Your core is your identity: a Picket that outruns anything, a Frigate that bristles with torpedoes, a Hauler built to move mountains. Choose a role, build to it, and own it.
Haul ice for the gas barons. Run couriers for the Mercantile. Hunt pirates for Tycho. The corporations of the Expanse have work for a Belter who can keep a schedule — and the reputation to make it worth your while.
Tech isn't crafted. It's taken. Cut your teeth on GOLD freighters drifting through the Belt, then graduate to the warships of the Inners — if you think your hull can take the answer.
| Ship Core | Role | Combat Speed |
|---|---|---|
| Skiff (no core) | Starter / utility — the Rockhopper | 400 m/s |
| Picket | Fast scout, sensors, light torpedoes | 650 m/s |
| Corvette | Agile brawler, fixed railgun | 550 m/s |
| Frigate | Torpedo boat, second railgun, armour | 500 m/s |
| Cruiser (soon) | Turreted railgun, shuttle hangar | 450 m/s |
| Carrier (soon) | Fleet support, military hangars | 300 m/s |
| Barge / Hauler | Mining and cargo, industrial drives | Civilian |
| Outpost / Installation | Stations, production, shipyards | Station |
Combat speed limits only apply near other grids — 1 km from friendlies, 5 km from stations, 30 km from anyone else. Beyond that, Flip and Burn takes over.
You spawn a Belter. Every player does. These are the giants you'll be flying in the shadow of.
Thirty billion mouths and a navy to match. Old, crowded, bureaucratic, and still the biggest fist in the system. When Earth speaks, the Belt listens — and resents every word.
A dream of blue skies held together by iron discipline. Fewer ships than Earth, but every one of them is better. Martians don't bluff. They burn.
Born in the dark, raised on recycled air, owed nothing by the Inners and expecting less. You start here, in a Rockhopper, with everything to prove. Beltalowda.
